What are processes?

Processes are often described as “the way we do what we do”. Usually they are a sequence of events or actions which achieve a pre-defined goal.

Process Management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, techniques and systems to define, visualise, measure, control, report and improve processes. Usually, in business, this is with the goal of meeting customer requirements profitably.

Process management typically covers:

  • Process design
  • Mapping and current process analysis
  • Implementation of new processes
  • Measurement & KPI design
